Women's Track Competes in Big Ten Indoor Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's track team took part in the Big Ten Indoor Championships this weekend at Ohio State University, finishing 10th.
Junior Leah Nilsson (Williamston, Mich.) and freshman Nadia Ricketts (Kingston, Jamaica) recorded 15th place finishes for the Spartans in the 5,000-meter run and the long jump, respectively. Nilsson ran a time of 17:45.44 while Ricketts finished with a jump of 16' 7.75".
MSU begins a busy outdoor season Mar. 20 at the Baylor/Dr. Pepper Invitational in Waco, Tex., then heads to Raleigh, N.C. Mar. 25 to run in the Raliegh Relays.
