Women's Soccer Team Drops Close Decision to UNLV

EAST LANSING, MI - The Michigan State women's soccer team came out on the short end of a 2-1 decision to Nevada-Las Vegas Sunday afternoon.
MSU junior midfielder Jessica Moorman (Hudson, OH) put the Spartans on top, 1-0, with her second goal of the season at the 36:03 mark. However, in the second half, UNLV's Felicia Madrigal knotted the game at 68:29. Summer Frew then put the hosts up for good with a marker at 83:59.
MSU's sophomore goalkeeper Sara Kloosterman (Farmington) finished the game with three 15 saves while her counterpart, Shannon Wilson recorded four stops. UNLV finished with an 11-8 advantage in shot attempts.
MSU, now 2-2-1, will play at Northwestern on Sunday (Sept. 18).
