Women's Tennis at ITA Midwest Regional

East Lansing, Mich. - Four players will travel to Columbus, Ohio for the ITA Midwest Regional, Nov. 3-8. The ITA Midwest Regional is one of eight ITA regional tournaments being held across the country over the next two weeks. Players are competing for spots in the 2000 Rolex National Indoor Championships, Feb. 3-6, 2000.
Senior Brooke Townsend (East Lansing), junior Natasha Skogerboe (Coon Rapids, Minn.) and freshmen Mollie Hood (Bellaire) and Joi McQueen (Carmel, Ind.) are competing this weekend for the Spartans. Skogerboe, McQueen and Hood are all in the qualifying bracket of singles play. The trio will attempt to qualify for the main draw beginning Wednesday, Nov. 3. Townsend is is the lower bracket of the main draw and will begin competition on Friday, Nov. 5. Hood and McQueen are in the qualifying draw of doubles action, while Skogerboe and Townsend are in the main draw and received a by to Friday's second round.
